Swiss House, Castleton, Derbyshire, offers 4 Star bed & breakfast accommodation. All our rooms have flatscreen colour TV with freeview,most have inbuilt dvd player. the rooms also have alarm clock, hair dryer and hot drink facilities. Rooms are FROM £65 for 2 people. Higher rates apply for short stays or during busy seasons. Please phone for negotiable rates for a long stay or off peak visit.

Room 1: Superking / Twin / Triple  (1st floor)

Our first flexible room has a fantastic bed which can be: a superking (6ft wide); a superking and a single; twin or three singles. The room has a wonderful view of Lose Hill through the original sash window. This room has a flatscreen tv with freeview

 The bathroom has a full size bath with shower over. Both bedroom and bathroom have adjustable heating.

Room 3: Double Room (1st floor)

This lovely room has a double bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower. It has a spendid view of Peveril Castle and Mam Tor through the double glazed 'mock' sash. This room has a flatscreen tv/dvd player with freeview.

Room and shower room have adjustable heating.

Room 4: Superking / Twin / Triple (1st floor)

This lovely light room (refurbished October 2010) has a bed which is 6' wide and 6'6" long, so ideal for very tall guests. It can also be a twin room, a triple with 3 single beds or a superking and a single.

The room has two armchairs to sit and enjoy the view, and each other's company. The flat screen colour tv, with freeview, has an inbuilt dvd so why not bring along your favourite dvds and relax for the evening?

There are original sash windows in the bedroom and bathroom. Both rooms have adjustable heating.

The huge bathroom has a large bath with shower over.

Room 5: Double room (1st floor)

Just been refurbished (April 2011) - this room has fabulous new carpet, curtains and furniture.

You'll love the comfy chairs and the luxurious lined curtains will make sure you sleep until YOU are ready to wake up!

There is a flatscreen tv / dvd with freeview.

Bathroom has full sized bath with shower over.

Room and bathroom have adjustable heating.

Room 6: Large Flexible Room. (2nd floor)

Room 6 is the largest of the three flexible rooms. It has a superking (6ft wide)  bed and can have 1 or 2 single beds. There is a flatscreen colour tv/dvd player with freeview.

It is an ideal room for a romantic break for two and also for groups of 2 or 3 adults. The bed can be made as a superking, twin, 3 singles or 4 singles (at a push!).

This is a splendid room with a sloping ceiling and exposed original beams.The bathroom has a small bath with shower over (Jan 2012 - we got rid of the elctric shower at last!!) and heated towel rail. Room and bathroom have adjustable heating.

Room 8: Double Room.  (2nd floor)

Relax in the king-size bed in our recently redecorated (July 09) room 8 and plan your walk up to Peveril Castle, or over Mam Tor, both of which can be seen from the double glazed bedroom window. This room has a flat screen tv with freeview.

The ensuite has a new (Oct 2010) walk-in, larger than average, shower and both the bedroom and bathroom have adjustable heating.

Room 9: Double Room. (2nd floor)

This room has a fantastic view from the Velux window which spans from the Castle, across MamTor, Lose Hill and round to Win Hill. A sight to behold when covered in snow! The other window gives a wonderful view of Peveril Castle. This room has a sloping ceiling with an exposed original beam so not ideal for people over 6' tall!. There is a flatscreen tv / dvd player with freeview.

The shower room (new Oct 2009) has a larger than average walk-in shower.

Room 10: Double (2nd floor)

This lovely double room has an original sash window and exposed beam. There is a flatscreen tv / dvd player with freeview.

The bathroom has a small bath with shower over (Jan 2012 - we got rid of the elctric shower at last!) and heated towel rail.
